Pivoting Windows
Unique Pivoting Windows
Pivoting windows are unique to most native North Americans because they open on a center pivot. This design tends to be more stable than a traditional casement window which, when open, extends the full length of the window outside. Pivoting windows only extend half that distance outside.
Pivoting Windows are quite convenient for many developers that don’t have room for windows with larger opening radius’ but don’t want a permanently sealed off window. They’re an affordable window option and incredibly recognizable as their aesthetic is truly unlike any other window-style. They’re also considered a highly safe window-style to allow for air-flow at higher heights because the window only opens half way due to the center pivot.
Pivot windows are definitely picking up in popularity in North America and it has been HighQ’s pleasure to help many developers navigate the selection and installation of these traditionally European windows. They’re easy to keep clean, come in a wide array of styles and straight-forward to use. They provide excellent ventilation for spaces that need air-flow but are also energy efficient when they’re closed.

Perfect Kitchen Windows
One of the Best Uses
High Q pivoting windows are most often utilized in bathrooms and kitchens where having air-flow is more important than seamlessly capturing a view. We have mainly installed these windows above the sink in kitchens.

Space-Saving
Take Up Less Space than Casement Windows
Because pivoting windows open from a center pivot, when open, they take up less space than the traditional casement. In high-traffic rooms of the home where space is a priority such as a kitchen or bathroom, this feature is irreplaceable.

Easy Cleaning
Maintenance is a snap!
These windows make for very easy cleaning from the inside. Because the window will never be fully opened to the outside, less of the window is exposed to the outdoor elements than with a traditional casement window which opens fully.
